Injured MotoGP world champion Jorge Martin has been cleared to test his Aprilia bike, but will miss the German Grand Prix in two weeks.
Martin, in a contractual dispute with the team, can test this week, pending a further medical check next week.
MotoGP medical director authorized the test but ruled out a return at the German GP.
Martin may be cleared to resume racing at the Czech Grand Prix following previous injuries.
His recovery dates back to Qatar in April, after a crash involving Fabio di Giannantonio.
Medical reports show positive progress, with some fractures still healing.
The upcoming test at Misano is the first under a new rule allowing riders with long-term injuries to assess their fitness.
