F3 rookie Dunne: ‘Nobody will remember’ speed before Macau crash
Alex Dunne, the GB3 runner-up, had an impressive performance in Macau despite his lack of experience in F3 machinery. He fought his way up from sixth on the grid to finish second in the opening race. However, in the main race, he misjudged his braking and crashed into the wall after trying to overtake Gabriele Mini. Dunne admitted that he didn’t know exactly what went wrong. Despite the crash, Dunne hopes his performance in Macau can help him secure a budget to race full-time in FIA F3 next season. He believes that showcasing his capabilities every weekend can benefit his future prospects.
