Disappointment Strikes: KTM’s Double Retirement at MotoGP Italian GP Sprint

After a promising start at the factory KTM camp for the MotoGP Italian Grand Prix, the optimism faded as both Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder retired early in the Saturday sprint race.

Despite sliding out on the first lap, Acosta remained positive about his tyre choice and his performance, acknowledging his mistake but staying focused on the upcoming races.

Acosta identified where KTM was losing out to Ducati at Mugello, particularly in long corner accelerations, but praised the Austrian bikes for their power delivery.

Both Acosta and Binder had high hopes for the sprint race, believing they could challenge the leaders, but their races were cut short due to early incidents.

Binder, who also had a short-lived race, highlighted issues with his bike’s performance, specifically mentioning understeer and chatter that affected his ability to push to the limit.
