A late-race restart at Chicago led to a wild moment at Turn 1 where Ross Chastain got spun sideways and had an encounter with Joey Logano. Logano, in the No. 22 Ford, was pushed into Chastain’s car causing a chain reaction. The incident led to Chastain hitting Logano in the next corner, also involving Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
Logano, frustrated after the incident, confronted Chastain expressing his discontent. Chastain later admitted that the collision was intentional, leading Logano to believe he should face consequences. The drivers, known for their aggressive racing styles, have had previous clashes at COTA and Martinsville.
Logano criticized Chastain’s racing behavior, calling him out for wrecking him intentionally, labeling his actions as irresponsible.
