Despite Max Verstappen holding pole position, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc couldn’t surpass him due to the challenging track conditions. Sainz made positive changes to his car setup, securing third on the grid, but acknowledged the difficulty in putting a perfect lap together. The Ferrari team believes starting ahead of Red Bull’s Sergio Perez gives them the best chance to challenge Verstappen in the race. Sainz noted that start-line performance has equalized among drivers, making it harder to gain an advantage at the beginning. Additionally, Sainz expressed a desire for more aggressive tyre selections from Pirelli, anticipating limited strategic variations in the Grand Prix.
