Carlos Sainz believes that contract talks with Ferrari “shouldn’t be too much of a problem”, revealing that negotiations should commence
Carlos Sainz had a successful debut season with Ferrari in 2021, finishing fifth in the Drivers’ standings and securing four podium finishes. Although he initially struggled to keep up with teammate Charles Leclerc in 2022, Sainz claimed his first pole position and race victory at Silverstone. Ferrari’s championship hopes have been hindered by an unpredictable car and the dominance of Red Bull. Despite this, Sainz praised Ferrari for their progress and sees positive steps being taken in the right direction. He has expressed his desire to remain with Ferrari and hopes to reach an agreement for the future during the winter break. Sainz recently secured his third podium of the year after Lewis Hamilton’s disqualification at the United States Grand Prix.
