The first practice session at the Las Vegas GP was cut short after 10 minutes due to a loose drain cover, causing significant delays for the second session as repairs were made. Fans were escorted away from the grandstands and fan zones, making it a challenging first day for the event. The drivers had an extended FP2 session to make up for the lost time. Charles Leclerc emerged as the fastest, followed by Carlos Sainz in a Ferrari 1-2. Fernando Alonso finished third for Aston Martin. Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas completed the top five. FP3 will take place on Friday evening.
