Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc believes overcoming his recent one-lap struggles to qualify in second place for Formula 1’s Miami Grand Prix
Since joining Ferrari in 2018, Leclerc has been known for his skill in low-fuel conditions, but struggled with Ferrari’s 2024 challenger. Despite a spin in FP1 in China, he managed to qualify ahead of his teammate and secure a front-row starting position. Leclerc expressed relief that his hard work to turn his luck around paid off with a strong qualifying performance just behind Max Verstappen. He acknowledged the challenges he faced during the weekend, especially only having one lap in FP1 before going straight into qualifying. Leclerc emphasized the importance of consistency and optimizing tire performance moving forward. Looking ahead to the Sprint race, Leclerc remained hopeful for a strong performance and aims for a top spot on the podium in the main race on Sunday.
