Max Verstappen had been critical of the off-track entertainment at the race in Las Vegas, stating that it felt more like a show than a sporting event. He expressed his preference for the focus to be on the sport itself, rather than the additional festivities. Verstappen believed it was important for people to understand the sport and appreciate the achievements of the teams. Despite his reservations, he participated in the race wearing an Elvis Presley-inspired suit and even sang “Viva Las Vegas” during his victory lap. Red Bull team boss commended Verstappen for his honesty and acknowledged that although he may not be comfortable with all the razzmatazz surrounding Formula One, he still enjoyed the race and the event as a whole.
