Valtteri Bottas had a disappointing race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit due to contact at the first turn. Fernando Alonso’s dive on the inside caused a chain reaction that left Bottas with nowhere to go and resulted in damage to the rear of his car. Although he continued with a new front wing, the damage to the diffuser hampered his performance. Bottas expressed frustration at squandering a promising starting position due to circumstances beyond his control. Despite this, he believes the circuit deserves a place on the Formula 1 calendar and does not see the need for improvements for next year.
