Verstappen escapes penalties for impeding in nightmare qualifying
Max Verstappen faced an investigation after qualifying for three separate offences, resulting in a nightmare session for the Red Bull driver and an 11th place grid position. He received two reprimands, one for unnecessarily impeding in the pit lane and another for allegedly blocking Yuki Tsunoda on a fast lap. The FIA did not take any action for the Logan Sargeant incident. Verstappen will aim to win his 11th consecutive race starting from P11 on the grid, ahead of teammate Sergio Perez. Additionally, Sargeant was reprimanded for blocking Lance Stroll in Q1, and Williams were fined for failing to inform Sargeant of an approaching driver.
