Verstappen claims critics ‘cannot appreciate’ his F1 dominance
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has dominated the 2023 season, winning 11 out of 13 races so far and is on track for his third consecutive world title. He is currently 138 points ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez in the championship. Verstappen could achieve a record-breaking 10th successive victory at the upcoming Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Despite criticism that the sport is becoming boring due to Red Bull’s superiority, Verstappen remains unfazed and enjoys what he does. His rival Lewis Hamilton has signed a new two-year contract with Mercedes, motivated by his “unfinished business” in Formula 1. Although Verstappen’s maiden F1 crown was won in controversial circumstances, he does not see it as tainted and believes that people can easily forget. He focuses on his own career and disregards other people’s opinions.
