Farewell to Pons Racing: Canet Secures Spectacular Pole Position for Moto2 in Valencia

Aron Canet put his Sito Pons dedicated helmet on pole in qualifying for the final round of the season, the Moto2 Valencia Grand Prix

Aron Canet was the winner of the pole position in a closely contested Moto2 qualifying session at the Valencia circuit. Canet secured the top spot on the grid with a final time attack lap of 1m33.314s, just making it under the chequered flag. Fermin Aldeguer narrowly missed out on another chance at pole, finishing in second place. Marcos Ramirez, riding for American Racing, secured a front row start in third, while Sam Lowes starts from fourth in his last grand prix. British rider Jake Dixon starts from the second row alongside Lowes. Pedro Acosta, the 2023 champion, moved up to sixth place in the qualifying session.
