Toprak Razgatlioglu says it will only take two or three races to understand if he can fight for the WorldSBK title in 2024.
Toprak Razgatlioglu was part of BMW’s team presentation for the upcoming season and expressed his ambition to challenge for the WorldSBK title as soon as possible. He acknowledged that Alvaro Bautista and Ducati will be tough to beat in 2024, but believes he has the potential to overcome them if his machine is competitive enough. Ahead of the first January test, Razgatlioglu made it clear that he is ready to fight, stating that he needs a few races to adapt to his new bike due to limited testing opportunities. He also expressed his disappointment with Yamaha for delaying his start with BMW and the circumstances surrounding his move. Despite Bautista being considered the favorite, Razgatlioglu has a different philosophy and dreams of winning the World Championship for BMW, a brand that has never achieved that feat.
