Mike Trimby, founder and CEO of IRTA, has died
Mike Trimby, the founder and CEO of IRTA and an important figure in MotoGP, has sadly passed away. Dorna Sports, the MotoGP commercial rights holder, expressed their condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Trimby was recognized for his tireless work in improving circuit safety and representing MotoGP. He was awarded the prestigious Torrens Trophy for his contributions to British motorcycling. MotoGP CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta praised Trimby’s dedication and partnership in making the sport safer. The MotoGP community will pay tribute to Trimby during the San Marino Grand Prix, and a minute of silence will be held in his honor.
