Axel Bassani says the objective in his first season as a factory rider in WorldSBK is to learn as much as possible.
Italian rider Bassani is taking on the challenging task of replacing six-time WorldSBK champion Jonathan Rea at Kawasaki, and is determined to give his best performance. With his move to a full factory seat, the expectations on Bassani will be much higher now, especially with the support of his teammate Alex Lowes. While Bassani will be competing for podium finishes, the addition of Toprak Razgatlioglu to BMW could potentially put the German brand ahead of Kawasaki. Pre-season testing at Jerez will provide more clarity on where Bassani and Kawasaki currently stand. Both Bassani and Lowes are eager to start the new season and unleash the full potential of their bikes.
