Aleix Espargaro beats Francesco Bagnaia to Catalunya sprint win
The race started with rain falling, prompting every team to set up their riders’ second bikes. However, the rain did not intensify, and the race began in dry conditions. Vinales made an impressive start, moving from fourth to second, while Bagnaia maintained his lead. Vinales then lost his position to his teammate, Espargaro, who overtook him under braking at turn one. Martin also challenged Espargaro but made an error and dropped to sixth. Marquez made a strong start, moving up to seventh. Vinales closed in on the leading duo while Espargaro took the lead on lap seven. Despite Vinales’ efforts to overtake Bagnaia, he settled for third.
