Yuki Tsunoda has apologized to his Red Bull team for his “unnecessary” and “stupid” crash in the Imola GP qualifying, leading to him starting the race from the back of the field. The Japanese driver lost control of his RB21 and collided with the inside wall during the first part of qualifying. After precautionary checks at the medical centre, Tsunoda took responsibility for the incident, acknowledging his mistake in pushing too hard without fully understanding the car. Feeling ashamed and frustrated, Tsunoda expressed his remorse to his team for the extensive damage on the car, realizing the unnecessary burden placed on his mechanics for repairs. Meanwhile, his teammate Max Verstappen secured the second position on the grid for the race, highlighting the stark difference in outcomes within the Red Bull Racing team.
