Why F1 mechanics couldn’t get back on the grid in Italian GP aborted start
The Monza race had a delayed start due to Yuki Tsunoda’s car issue. The drivers were held on the grid for an extended period without information on the starting gantry screen. The second start attempt was also aborted due to Tsunoda’s car being stuck in gear. The mechanics faced difficulties accessing the grid due to security protocol concerns. Two mechanics climbed over the pitwall to reach their cars before the rest were allowed onto the grid. The start procedure was eventually reset and the race began with Carlos Sainz leading the pack. Max Verstappen eventually overtook Sainz and went on to win his 10th consecutive F1 race.
