Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur stated that the engineering setup has remained unchanged for the past three years, acknowledging mistakes made with the car but also knowing where improvements can be made. The scrutiny faced by Vasseur at Ferrari, particularly in times of underperformance, raises questions about accountability and the effectiveness of the technical team. Despite Lewis Hamilton’s exceptional win in China, Ferrari’s disappointing season places them fourth in the constructors’ standings, prompting doubts about the SF-25 and its development. Vasseur emphasized confidence in the technical staff, led by Loic Serra, who took over from Enrico Cardile, but clarified that the current car’s foundation was already in place before Serra’s arrival. Despite acknowledging the need for improvement, Vasseur remains optimistic about the team’s capabilities and emphasizes a continuous growth mindset. He is committed to the ongoing development of the SF-25 and believes in fully utilizing the team’s resources to address challenges and propel Ferrari forward.
