Haas has requested written clarification from the FIA following Oliver Bearman’s exclusion from qualifying for the Emilia Romagna GP due to a red-flag incident during the first session. The team believed Bearman’s lap should have stood as he crossed the line before the red flag was shown. TV footage and timing information supported this as well. The FIA defended its decision by stating that Bearman’s lap was timed after the red flag, leading to the disqualification. Despite this, Bearman expressed dissatisfaction and labeled the decision as unfair. Going forward, Haas is seeking a thorough explanation from the FIA to prevent similar incidents and ensure fairness in future races.
