MotoGP title contender Alex Marquez has been cleared to participate in Free Practice 1 at the German Grand Prix, despite recovering from a hand injury from the previous race at Assen. He will undergo a fitness test after the session to determine his further participation for the weekend. Marquez aims to minimize the impact on his championship position, trailing leader Marc Marquez by 68 points while trying to maintain his 58-point lead over Francesco Bagnaia. The injury occurred during an incident at the Dutch Grand Prix involving KTM rider Pedro Acosta. Meanwhile, Enea Bastianini of Tech3 KTM has been forced to sit out of the German Grand Prix due to appendicitis, adding to his challenging season in MotoGP. If Bastianini wants to compete in the next race in the Czech Republic, a speedy recovery will be necessary, as it is scheduled for the following weekend.
