The Rise of a British Racing Star: Uncovering Verstappen’s Secret GT3 Test

Last week, during a GT3 test at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, ‘Franz Hermann’ gained attention, who turned out to be F1 champion Max Verstappen testing a Ferrari 296 GT3 for Emil Frey Racing. Verstappen, under the Verstappen.com Racing banner, aimed to keep a low profile while testing at the ‘Green Hell.’

Team Redline sim racer, Chris Lulham, shared driving duties with Verstappen that day, although he remained largely anonymous until the subsequent GT World Challenge event. Despite his extensive sim racing background, Lulham found the real Nordschleife track experience incomparable.

Having transitioned from sim racing to GT3 racing this year, Lulham shared his excitement about the Nurburgring test, where he and Verstappen cooperated to gather valuable data for the team.

While Lulham does aspire to compete in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, he faces the challenge of acquiring the necessary permit, a process that needs to be finalized in the following months.
