Marc Marquez has agreed with Ducati to extend his contract for two more MotoGP seasons, covering 2027 and 2028. The agreement was reached during Ducati’s team presentation in Madonna di Campiglio. Marquez will continue in Ducati red until at least the end of 2028.
The announcement is expected before the start of the season, coinciding with the official MotoGP launch in Kuala Lumpur after the season’s first tests in Sepang. Marquez emphasized his comfort and speed with Ducati, expressing his desire to stay. The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed yet.
With Marquez’s future secured, Ducati now focuses on choosing his teammate for 2027. Francesco Bagnaia, Fabio Quartararo, and Pedro Acosta are in contention for the seat beside Marquez, with Acosta rumored to have an advantage.
