Fabio Quartararo secured his second consecutive MotoGP pole position by outpacing Marc Marquez at Le Mans, setting the stage for a thrilling home race weekend.
In Q2, Quartararo bested the factory Ducati and will lead the pack on the grid.
Alex Marquez of Gresini Ducati will start from the third position, while Francesco Bagnaia had to settle for sixth on the second factory Ducati.
The qualifying session was briefly halted due to Ai Ogura’s crash, with only enough time left for one flying lap attempt for most riders before Quartararo’s exceptional pole-setting lap.
Despite a strong challenge from Marquez, Quartararo managed to secure the pole position in the final moments, with Aldeguer and Alex Marquez completing the front row.
Bagnaia, initially in 11th place, was only able to climb to sixth, setting up an exciting start for the French GP.
