Hungaroring Renovation: Revamped Circuit Ready to Host Thrilling F1 Hungarian GP

“Budapest will host the 40th edition of the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix from 1-3 August 2025. The Hungaroring has undergone a striking transformation over the past 12 months in preparation for the event.

The refurbishment unveiled during a press event included rebuilt paddock and media center buildings. CEO Zsolt Gyulay expressed pride in the renovations, emphasizing the modernization’s impact on the pit building and grandstand.

The new building now features 40 garages, a catering and VIP area, administrative offices, a rooftop terrace, and more. Two tunnels connecting the paddock to the grandstand and a new covered grandstand for 10,000 spectators have been added.

The economic importance of the Hungarian Grand Prix was highlighted, with 300,000 attendees, 80% from abroad. The event generates a gross domestic product exceeding 26 billion forints.

With an extension on the F1 calendar until 2032, the event’s modernization was a key factor in securing its future.”
