The British Truck Racing Championship at Thruxton last weekend saw five different winners, with Ryan Smith emerging victorious despite doubts about his participation due to illness. Smith, who recently battled kidney stones, led rival Stuart Oliver to win the first race with a rebuilt engine. Although initially disqualified in the second race, Smith bounced back to finish second in the third race behind Tom O’Rourke. David Smith claimed his first win in race four after a 90-minute stoppage, while Ryan Smith was edged out by John Bowler in the final race. The 750 Formula championship provided thrilling races, with Matthew Twynham securing his first-ever victory in a closely fought battle. George Line dominated the Monoposto Championship in his Dallara Formula 3 car with a hat-trick of wins, while Dom Malone and Adam Smalley triumphed in a Porsche 991 Cup car in the Britcar Endurance races. Smalley credited teammate Dom Malone for their success and expressed joy at achieving two wins at Thruxton.
