Andrea Kimi Antonelli had to retire from his first F1 race at his home circuit due to a throttle failure.
Despite starting 13th on the grid, he had worked his way up to eighth place before pulling off to the side on lap 46.
Antonelli, who had shown promise throughout the season, admitted to feeling overwhelmed by the pressure of racing in front of his home crowd for the first time in F1.
He encountered throttle issues during the race, which ultimately forced him to retire.
Antonelli acknowledged the need to improve his driving skills and race pace, especially in hot temperatures.
Despite the performance setback, he appreciated the support of the fans but recognized the areas he needs to work on ahead of the next race.
