Qualifying has always been a major hurdle for drivers to clear during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.
Isack Hadjar has warned that F1 drivers are facing a “survival game” trying to escape from Q1 without being affected by traffic on Saturday.
The narrow Monte Carlo track layout has always been challenging for passing other cars.
With Cadillac joining the grid this year, the challenge is even greater.
Although Hadjar finished 6th in Monaco last year, he aims to do better with Red Bull this time.
He emphasized that Q1 is about survival, not just performance.
For him, getting a clear track is crucial for progressing in the qualifying rounds.
In Q2, he expects a calmer pace as the focus shifts to building speed.
