Tumultuous Turn: Esteban Ocon’s Canadian Sprint Qualification in Jeopardy

Esteban Ocon could find himself in significant trouble following the Canadian Sprint.

Esteban Ocon is facing potential disqualification from the Canadian Sprint race due to a technical infringement involving his car’s left rear tyre pressure being below the legal minimum.

FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer raised the issue with the stewards, pointing out the irregularity in Ocon’s tyre pressure during the race.

The incident was discovered during checks before the race start, with the tyre pressures initially meeting regulations but later dropping below the allowed limit.

In response to Bauer’s report, the stewards have decided to further investigate the matter and will meet with Ocon at 14:45 local time to discuss the issue.

Ocon, who finished 13th in the race, faces the possibility of being disqualified if the investigation confirms the breach of tyre operating procedures.

The situation adds uncertainty to Ocon’s race result and highlights the importance of adhering to the technical regulations in Formula 1 events.
