The Haas driver is now at reduced risk of a race ban.
Oliver Bearman had two FIA penalty points removed from his super-licence before the Canadian Grand Prix Sprint. These points were awarded to him for overtaking Williams’ Carlos Sainz under red flags during the Monaco Grand Prix practice. Bearman’s total penalty points decreased from 10 to 8, with the next set due to expire on July 5th, taken from the incident at the 2025 British Grand Prix. The remaining penalty points held by Bearman have expiration dates, with two points expiring on September 7th, 2026, one on November 8th, 2026, and another on December 7th, 2026. Despite the reduction, Bearman still holds the highest number of penalty points in the field, leading Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson by two points.
