Alex Albon’s Turbulent Turn: From Canadian GP Practice Crash to Wildlife Tragedy

A second red flag has been flown in practice ahead of the Canadian GP, sadly with the loss of a marmot.

In the practice session before the Canadian Grand Prix, Alex Albon caused a red flag with a crash at Turn 7, damaging his FW48 significantly.

The medical car was sent out due to the severity of the accident, but Albon was able to leave the car by himself.

Unfortunately, a marmot lost its life in the crash, leading broadcasters to delay showing replays.

Social media shared onboard footage illustrating Albon’s attempt to avoid the marmot but ultimately making contact, resulting in the crash.
