A huge blow for Liam Lawson right at the start of the Canadian Grand Prix weekend!
Liam Lawson caused a red flag during practice for the Canadian Grand Prix due to a potential hydraulics issue in his Racing Bulls car.
The red flag was flown 12 minutes into the session, leading to the need to remove Lawson’s car from the track for safety.
This setback will impact Lawson’s performance in the Sprint weekend, as he won’t have any more practice time before sprint qualifying.
Fortunately, the extended session helped offset the delay for other drivers, although Franco Colapinto faced his own challenges with a throttle response issue.
Colapinto had to return to the pits early in the session but avoided a track stoppage, with Alpine investigating a hardware-related power unit problem in his car.
