Unforeseen Turmoil Strikes Pascal Wehrlein’s Path to Formula E Glory

Porsche’s bizarre Formula E Monaco curse continued last weekend, with very little having been in Pascal Wehrlein’s control.

Pascal Wehrlein expressed being “lost for words” after a disappointing Monaco E-Prix, noting that the new tyre set used in the second race felt drastically different. Despite promising one-lap performance, Porsche’s unlucky streak in Monaco continued, with no podium finishes in the last eight races. Wehrlein’s weekend was marred by factors beyond his control, from a puncture in the first race due to a collision with teammate Nico Müller to an uncompetitive showing in the second race. Notably, Wehrlein struggled with grip and balance on fresh Hankook tyres, compared to his previous set, leading to slower performance on the second day of the event. The 31-year-old driver emphasized his lack of control over the situation but remains focused on the next race, acknowledging the need for small improvements despite the disappointing outcome.
