Alpine has bolstered its technical staff with the signing of a new figure, who most recently worked for the FIA.
Alpine has officially announced the hiring of Jason Somerville as the deputy technical director.
Somerville has started his new position and will be reporting to executive technical director David Sanchez.
Ending his tenure as head of aerodynamics at the FIA, Somerville is embarking on a new chapter with Alpine.
The deputy technical director role is a fresh addition to the team’s structure.
This marks Somerville’s return to Enstone, where he previously worked during the Lotus era in 2010 and 2011.
Excited about his return, Somerville looks forward to contributing to Alpine’s success alongside Flavio, Steve, and David.
He is eager to collaborate with the talented team of engineers, designers, and aerodynamicists to strive for victories and championships in the near future.
