Daniel Ricciardo’s last appearance in F1 was the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix for the Racing Bulls team.
Daniel Ricciardo expressed his gratitude for Red Bull’s decision to release him from his F1 seat in 2024. After losing his McLaren seat in 2022, Ricciardo had a lifeline as the third driver for AlphaTauri in 2023 and eventually replaced Nyck de Vries. Despite missing several races due to injury, he retained the seat until the 2024 Singapore GP before being released. Ricciardo has maintained a low profile since leaving but shared insights in an interview on Ford’s motorsport boss podcast. Reflecting on his exit, he mentioned feeling exhausted and grateful for the decision, acknowledging a decline in performance compared to veteran drivers like Alonso. He emphasized the importance of admitting when something is amiss and being at peace with it.
