Piastri defended Brown against criticism from an Australian politician who questioned McLaren’s handling of the young driver during the 2025 championship, particularly citing incidents at Monza and Qatar that impacted Piastri’s title challenge against Lando Norris.
When asked about his bond with Brown, Piastri stated that their relationship is very good and has strengthened over time. He credited Brown as being supportive and enjoyable to work with, highlighting their contrasting yet complementary styles that contribute to their effective collaboration within the team.
Piastri acknowledged that McLaren faced challenges as a team last year but believes that their experiences have only served to strengthen the bond between him and Brown.
