VR46 Ducati rider Fabio Di Giannantonio celebrated his first premier class podium at Mugello with goosebumps, finishing third at the Italian Grand Prix. Despite being unable to challenge the Marquez brothers for victory, Di Giannantonio described reaching the rostrum as a “real dream.” He reflected on the special feeling of being on the podium in front of an enthusiastic crowd and paying tribute to Italian riders who inspired him. Di Giannantonio felt starting further back on the grid hindered his chances to fight for higher positions and acknowledged the need to qualify better to compete at the top. The result at Mugello marked a positive step for the VR46 team, with Di Giannantonio now fifth in the standings and motivated to continue their strong performance in future races.
