Resilience on the Racetrack: Alexander Rossi’s Journey to Recovery After Indy 500 Crash

Alexander Rossi was taken to hospital following a huge accident in practice for the Indy 500.

“Ed Carpenter Racing issued a health update on Alexander Rossi, who had minor surgery following a practice crash for the Indy 500.

During a Monday practice, Rossi crashed his Chevrolet-powered car, nearly flipping over, leading to a collision with Pato O’Ward and involvement of Romain Grosjean.

Images showed Rossi’s car with a tyre mark on the aeroscreen after the incident, necessitating his hospitalization for checks.

Rossi underwent successful outpatient procedures for his injuries and plans to race in the Indy 500 on Sunday.

Further updates on Rossi’s recovery and participation in the race will be provided by ECR and the IndyCar medical team.”
