The Dutchman finished sixth fastest in second practice for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen admitted that he has yet to find the “sweet spot” with the Red Bull RB20, as he didn’t top either practice session on day one of the Bahrain Grand Prix. The team was expected to dominate with Verstappen, but he ended up half a tenth slower than Lewis Hamilton in second practice. Verstappen mentioned some balance issues but remained optimistic, saying that once they find the sweet spot, they will pick up time on the rough tarmac. Despite finishing sixth, Verstappen believes Red Bull is close to finding that sweet spot and improving their performance. He also mentioned the importance of focusing on the long run and being competitive in qualifying.
