Carlos Sainz revealed Red Bull’s tire degradation advantage after the Bahrain Grand Prix, finishing behind Verstappen and Perez, who started the season strong. Red Bull chose Soft tires for the final stint while most rivals went for Hards, causing Sainz to struggle as the race progressed. Sainz acknowledged Red Bull’s tire management strength, stating their Soft tire degradation matched others’ on Hards. Despite finishing 25 seconds behind Verstappen, Sainz was closer to Perez but hindered by dirty air. Sainz explained he couldn’t challenge Perez due to the narrow margin and lack of DRS benefit.
