It’s one of the most unusual aspects of any sport – and Romain Grosjean stands alone in his choice!
Romain Grosjean will be the only one to choose skim milk if he wins the 110th running of the Indy 500 this weekend. It is a tradition for the winner to drink milk, dating back to Louis Meyer in 1936. Since 1956, every winner has celebrated with milk in victory lane, except for Emerson Fittipaldi in 1993 who chose orange juice. The choices of the drivers competing this year – whole, 2%, or skim milk – are disclosed before the race. Grosjean, starting 24th, is the lone driver of the 33 to opt for skim milk.
