Red Bull has secured the services of Ferrari veteran Gino Rosato on a freelance basis with immediate effect.
RacingNews365 reveals that Red Bull has brought in Gino Rosato, a long-serving Ferrari figure, as a consultant to strengthen its technical and operational structure.
Rosato, who was at Ferrari for almost three decades until 2023, will start immediately and is expected to attend around eight to 10 grands prix, starting with the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend.
His connection to Red Bull is significant, as he has a close relationship with Max Verstappen and his father Jos, with deep roots within the paddock.
Having worked closely with Michael Schumacher at Ferrari, Rosato is particularly close to Kimi Räikkönen, serving as godfather to Räikkönen’s son Robin.
Red Bull has faced recent challenges with key departures such as Adrian Newey, Jonathan Wheatley, Christian Horner, and Helmut Marko, with chief race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase set to leave by 2028.
To rebuild its structure, Red Bull has brought in new personnel like Ben Waterhouse and Andrea Landi, with Rosato’s freelance consultancy marking another step in this rebuilding process under team principal Laurent Mekies.
