Max Verstappen’s accident was a major blemish on what has so far been a positive Australian Grand Prix.
Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies expressed concern over Max Verstappen’s qualifying crash at the Australian Grand Prix, leaving him starting from the 20th position and facing a challenge for a good season opener.
Verstappen’s rear brakes locked, causing him to crash into a barrier, adding to his frustration with the new F1 cars, making his experience joyless.
Mekies emphasized the importance of Verstappen’s well-being, stating they are still investigating the incident thoroughly to understand what went wrong.
On a positive note, newcomer Isack Hadjar impressed with a P3 qualifying result, showcasing the team’s hard work and dedication to adapting to the new regulations.
Mekies praised Hadjar’s performance, highlighting the effort put in during the winter and the significance of such a result for both the driver and the team.
