Racing driver Juha Miettinen tragically passed away due to fatal injuries sustained at the Nürburgring during the 24 Hours of Nürburgring Qualifiers Race 1. A serious accident involving seven competitors occurred at the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers, prompting race control to immediately halt the race for recovery and rescue operations. Despite prompt emergency response, Juha Miettinen could not be saved, and resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful. The other six drivers involved in the accident were taken for examinations, and thankfully, none are in life-threatening condition. The race will not resume on Saturday, and a minute’s silence will be observed in Juha Miettinen’s memory during Sunday’s race grid formation at 13:00.
