Pepe Martí will not be forgetting last weekend’s Formula E Berlin E-Prix double-header anytime soon!
Cupra Kiro driver Pepe Martí recently shared his impressions of his first-ever Berlin pack race in Formula E, calling the experience “unbelievable.”
Within the Gen3 era of Formula E, pack races have become more common, but the Tempelhof Airport Circuit in Berlin offers a whole new level of intensity.
Martí highlighted the extreme energy-saving nature of these races, where constant position changes and multiple overtakes are the norm, with cars often going four abreast in corners.
The rookie driver described the unpredictability of the races, emphasizing how different they are compared to other motorsports.
Despite his first visit to the German capital, Martí performed admirably, finishing seventh in the first race and 12th in the second, which showcased the more extreme pack racing style.
Martí expressed the unique challenges of these races, noting the mix of executing strategies perfectly and dealing with unpredictable outcomes and luck factors during intense on-track battles.
