Oscar Piastri has detailed some of the lessons he learnt during his surprise collapse in last season’s title race.
Oscar Piastri admitted to facing some “tougher lessons” about himself after experiencing a surprising collapse in the 2025 F1 title race. Despite leading the championship with a 34-point advantage after impressively winning the Dutch GP, his lead vanished due to a series of setbacks, including crashes and poor results. The Australian driver finished the season third, trailing behind Lando Norris and Max Verstappen, but took away positive lessons and newfound challenges to work on for the upcoming season. Piastri acknowledged the importance of learning from his mistakes, both on a technical and strategic level, in order to improve his performance and competitiveness. Looking ahead to 2026, he expressed confidence in his ability to bounce back and apply the lessons he learned from the challenging experiences of the previous season.
