Oscar Piastri believes that additional changes are necessary to this year’s F1 regulations after the chaotic situation he experienced during the Miami Grand Prix. Despite a rough start to the season with early retirements in Australia and China, he showed potential with podium finishes in Japan and Miami. Piastri highlighted the need for more significant rule adjustments following discussions among F1 stakeholders during the April break, particularly emphasizing safety and the competitiveness of qualifying. He found the intense battles and unpredictability of overtaking in Miami to be a real test of the current car’s capabilities. While acknowledging some improvements, Piastri expressed the view that the FIA has not gone far enough with the recent changes and called for further revisions in the future.
