Oliver Bearman defiant despite ‘on edge’ F1 season start

Oliver Bearman insists he is “not a dirty driver” despite nearing a potential race ban at the upcoming Australian Grand Prix due to penalty points accumulated last season. In the Abu Dhabi GP, he garnered a point for multiple defensive moves against Lance Stroll. With 10 points on his super license, Bearman has six races to manage before some points drop off, possibly during the Canadian GP. Accumulating 12 points in a year leads to automatic suspension, as Kevin Magnussen experienced in 2024, allowing Bearman his Haas debut. Bearman maintains that he won’t alter his aggressive driving style at Melbourne’s Albert Park, though he recognizes the seriousness of his situation and aims to avoid a race ban.
