The Team Verstappen entry finished qualifying 1 at the Nurburgring 24 Hours in third place at the Nordschleife.
The first on-track session of the weekend took place in mixed conditions as rain started to fall late on.
Initially, the #3 challenger, driven by Max Verstappen, led the session before he handed the car over to his teammates.
As the session progressed, the #80 Mercedes set the fastest time of 8:14 with Fabio Schuller behind the wheel, edging out the #1 BMW and Verstappen’s entry.
Qualifying 2 will follow later, featuring more on-track action at the Nurburgring.
